Located just west of Little Italy, Sphinx Pilates + ELDOA™ Studio is proud to be part of a neighbourhood known for wellness practitioners. We opened in 2006 and since then we have seen our studio grow, with a diverse mix of intelligent clients, and also the community around us. The Instructors

  Petra Baethmann   Petra founded Sphinx Pilates in 2005. With over 20 years of experience teaching movement for health & a keen interest in rehabilitative exercise, Petra enjoys working with clients of all ages and wellbeing,  Her interest in fascia and techniques for back pain led her to embrace the revolutionary spinal health method: ELDOA™. She is one of a selected group of ELDOA™ Teacher Trainers worldwide.   Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) & ELDOA™ Certified Teacher Trainer, B-Comm McGill with additional certifications through Movement for Health and the Physicalmind Institute. Trained by Dianne Miller, Eileen Birks and Marie-Josee Blom; influenced by leading experts Tom Myers, Robert Schleif and Guy Voyer DO. And continues to be a student of Dr. Guy VOYER DO

Petra Baethmann

  Cindy Willems   Cindy received her Pilates certification from master teacher Diane Miller at the Vancouver Pilates Center. After a successful professional dance career (with the help of her extensive Pilates training from Eileen Birks) she dedicates her energy and creativity to helping others live a full quality of life.   Cindy trains a variety of clientele from athletes to the older generation, those recovering from surgery, hip and knee replacements, disc issues and pregnancy. She is a certified Holistic Nutritionist and currently studying Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture.

  Sheri Kimura   After 15+ years teaching dance and coaching rock climbing alongside a 9-to-5 desk job, Sheri decided to re-focus her career towards her passions: movement and helping people to find freedom in a healthy, strong body.    Sheri completed her classical Pilates training at Inhabit Pilates & Movement. Sheri is also an ELDOA level 2 certified student practitioner. She is thrilled to be part of the team of incredible teachers at Sphinx Pilates and hopes to offer a joyful, liberating movement experience in each class!

Sheri Kimura

  Milena Roglic   Milena began practicing Pilates in Montreal in 2001. Her interest in the method led her to acquire her certification with Polestar Pilates in 2008. Since then she has taught in various studios, health and fitness centres and corporate facilities.   She has participated in workshops with distinguished instructors Brent Anderson, President and CEO of Polestar Pilates and Pilates Elder, Lolita San Miguel. Aside from continuing her Pilates education and practice, Milena is a visual artist and obtained her MFA from York University in 2014.

  Danisa Misaljevic   Danisa is a Second Wind Pilates Plus Certified Instructor and a ELDOA2 certified student practitioner. She is also trained in Integrated Movement Therapy, Traditional Chinese Cupping, Myofascial Release Therapy, Pre and Post Natal Yoga and she is a Doula. Danisa has been teaching pilates and dance for the past 15 yrs.   Her work as a physiotherapist assistant has given her unique experience dealing with injuries and functional movement. Her classes encourage exploration in a non-judgmental and nurturing environment. Truly a life-long student, Danisa looks forward to continued learning and sharing her knowledge and passion in movement.

She is also trained in Integrated Movement Therapy, Traditional Chinese Cupping, Myofascial Release Therapy, Pre and Post Natal Yoga and she is a Doula. Danisa has been teaching pilates and dance for the past 15 yrs. 

Her work as a physiotherapist assistant has given her unique experience dealing with injuries and functional movement. Her classes encourage exploration in a non-judgmental and nurturing environment. Truly a life-long student, Danisa looks forward to continued learning and sharing her knowledge and passion in movement.
